Tiara Melaka Golf and Country Club remains a prime attraction
Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of the popular Ayer Keroh tourist district. It is located some 13 km northeast of the historical city of Malacca and is only a two-hour drive from Singapore and 80 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. From the Ayer Keroh tollhouse, it is only a 12-minute drive. Turn off left at the traffic lights (after the zoo) and proceed straight for 3 km and you will be in Tiara Melaka.
The 27-hole championship golf course is blessed with natural beauty and has a combination of tight fairways and indigenous plants. Sculpted from approximately 360 acres of pristine land, golfers can tee-off alongside towering trees and play across shimmering natural lakes.
Each nine will pose a formidable challenge to both the discerning as well as the average golfer. The Lake, Meadow and Woodland nines will provide a refreshingly different adventure for visiting players.
The first nine landscape is dominated by a large expanse of water, edged with tropical trees and colourful flowering shrubs that line the fairways.
The Meadow Nine is located at an open site. Apart from Chinese fan palms, colourful shrubs around the third to sixth holes.
The Woodland course is located at the northern corner of Tiara Melaka. This course is heavily wooded with existing mature trees, thus creating a tropical jungle effect.
Once having taken on Tiara Melaka golfers can move on to try the A’Famosa Golf Resort, Orna Golf and Country Club and the Ayer Keroh Country Club, a former venue for the Malaysian Open.
