Bars in KL can give you that heady feeling
When you get high in Kuala Lumpur it does not always mean getting sloshed. It could also mean having a cocktail or a beer in a literally high place.
After a round of golf one of the nicest ways to end your evening is to visit any one or more of KL’s exciting rooftop bars.
These bars offer exhilarating views of the city’s skyline and the metropolis in the twilight. The décor varies from avantgarde to average with a wide array of drinks from aperitifs to high-brow select wines.
Heli Lounge Bar – This could be your first stop of a bar-hopping spree. It’s actually a helipad by day, one of five in the city and when the sun goes down turns into a cosy rooftop bar with a portable drink station and sedan chairs. Located opposite the imposing KL Tower the sunset shots can be spectacular.
Marini’s on 57 – Appropriately named as it lies on the 57th floor of the Petronas Tower 3 it is a composite of three sections, one for dinning, the bar area and the Havana-style lounge. The Italian restaurant features a glass rooftop and floor to ceiling windows, affording scenic views of the city.
Other places to hang high are The Lunar Bar, Mai Bar in Aloft Hotel, Bridge Ba in G Tower, Troika Sky Dining, to name a few.
