Long-serving golf club manager has served the golf industry for the past 26 years
Industry veteran S.A. Nathan has rejoined the Saujana Golf and Country Club as general manager as of June 16.
The 60-year-old has spent 26 years in the industry, serving six golf clubs including Saujana from 1990-97. The other clubs were Kelab Rekreasi Tentera Udara (KRTU), Kota Permai Golf and Country Club, Berjaya Hills Golf and Country Club, Rahman Putra Golf and Country Club and Kelab Golf Negara Subang.
During his tenure at Saujana the Palm course was voted Best Golf Course by Golf Malaysia Magazine for seven years before being installed in the Hall of Fame.
Prior to his appointment at Saujana, Nathan served as general manager of KGNS for two years.
During his tenure with Kota Permai GCC from 1998-2002 the club was voted Best Golf Course by Golf Malaysia Magazine.
Again when he served as general manager of Berjaya Hills GCC from 2009-11 the club was voted Best Highland Golf Course in Asia.
Saujana’s renovation of its much-acclaimed Palm course has been completed and will be open for public play soon.
Saujana offers two outstanding courses for play, the 18-hole Palm and the 18-hole Bunga Raya course. The Central News Network (CNN) rates the Palm as among the most difficult layouts in the world.
