Asia Pacific’s finest golfers heading to Saujana
MPI Generali Saujana Amateur to feature players from 12 countries
Top amateurs from 12 countries are expected to participate in the 29th MPI Generali Saujana Amateur Championships from May 24-26, 2016.
The three-day championship will be staged at the Bunga Raya golf course and will witness some of the best players from the Asia-Pacific region.
The field will include representatives from Australia, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
Last year Malaysia’s Daeng Abdul Rahman won the individual title. He will defend his crown.
The Singapore contingent will comprise of 16 players including Johnson Poh, who was leading the tournament until the final few holes.
Indonesia’s team will include the highly talented Kevin Ceasario Akhbar who won the RSGC Ambank Junior title in March.
Taiwan will be sending 12 players while Fiji, for the first time is sending a bigger team with six players.
